20 year old 27" Male Aldabra Tortoise Future Stud, Hard to Find, Perfect for Breeding Group!

Stud Male

This 20-year-old, 27" male Aldabra tortoise is an exceedingly rare offering, as larger males are extremely difficult to find on the secondary market.

In the wild and captivity, males at this size are prized for their future stud potential, yet generally only breed successfully when they reach about 26 years and around 39 inches. In 4 years, this male will be in prime breeding condition—a foundation animal for any serious breeder or collector.

Males of this caliber are scarce because their natural social structure means colonies typically have only one male for every four or five females, limiting aggressive competition and minimizing injuries among females. In contrast, groups with multiple males and few females can result in overbreeding, leg injuries, and carapace scarring among females, making careful group composition essential.

This makes males far rarer than females and greatly increases their value for anyone assembling a proper breeding colony.

This male offers outstanding future stud potential. Secure him now before demand further restricts availability—males this size grow increasingly scarce and valuable as they approach breeding age and size.

30” 25-Year Imported Female Aldabra Mauritius-Bred, Proven Genetics, Ready for Breeding

Ready for Breeding

Ready-to-Breed 20-Year-Old Female Aldabra Tortoise – Produce Your Own Hatchlings!"

Ready-to-Breed 20-Year-Old Female

"Offered for sale: a robust 20-year-old female Aldabra tortoise, measuring an impressive 29.5 inches. Females typically reach reproductive maturity at 29-32 inches around 18-20 years old, making this animal just a short year or two away from laying her first clutch.

This is truly the perfect moment to acquire a nearly breeder-ready Aldabra, as her price will increase significantly once she begins to lay eggs and proven breeding females become even rarer and more valuable in the market.

Known for their longevity, gentle temperament, and status as a giant species, Aldabra tortoises are sought after by breeders and collectors worldwide.

This animal is ideal for anyone wanting to produce their own baby Aldabras or establish a foundation for a breeding project. Secure her now, before she lays her first eggs—in a very short time, her value will rise dramatically due to the extreme demand for proven breeding females.

Serious inquiries only. Don’t miss this chance to own a spectacular, almost breeder-ready female Aldabra tortoise."

8 1/2" Pair of 8 1/2" Pair of Surgically Sexed Aldabra Tortoises (ID#1842 Male) & (1768 Female) Tortoises (ID#1842 Male) & (1768 Female)

Surgically Sexed male & Female Aldabra Tortoises

I discuss the crucial importance of purchasing a surgically sexed pair of 8.5-inch Aldabra tortoises.

Unlike many animals, Aldabra tortoise sex cannot be determined by DNA tests because their sex is controlled by incubation temperature — specifically influenced by the depth of their nest.

I explain the fascinating biology behind temperature-dependent sex determination (TSD) in Aldabra tortoises, where females regulate the sex ratio of their offspring by adjusting nest depth to produce more males or females as needed.

Since males are naturally less common (about 1 in 10), surgically sexed pairs at a young age (around 1.5 years) are highly valuable and ensure you know exactly what you have.

Learn how nature limits male tortoise population to prevent overbreeding and physical damage to females, and why understanding this reproductive strategy helps breeders make better decisions for successful Aldabra tortoise breeding programs.

About This Pair:
Males  are exceedingly hard to find; the females size and age is nearing full reproductive maturity

Once these animals produce their value will skyrocket.

In ideal conditions, Aldabra tortoises begin breeding around 26 years and females start laying once they reach about 30 inches.

These animals are already approaching that threshold, giving buyers a near-term opportunity to establish a breeding program without the decades-long grow-out process required for hatchlings.

Why Invest Now
Near-breeder-ready group—no waiting decades for maturity.
Exceptionally hard-to-find combination at this size and age.

Serious inquiries only. Available for immediate acquisition to qualified facilities, breeders, or collectors.

Exceptional New Island Aldabra Tortoises – Rare Opportunity

This particular group of Aldabras is truly exceptional. They are farm-raised & and originate from an island within the Aldabra atoll, making them genetically distinct from the typical populations seen in captivity today. These individuals display outstanding shell conformation, extremely smooth growth, and a natural, refined shape that reflects slow, healthy development in their native environment. It’s easily the most impressive group we’ve seen in years—an extremely rare chance to own a specimen of this quality.

These tortoises were slow grown in natural conditions, resulting in strong bone density, beautiful symmetry, and excellent genetics. Their lineage contributes to some of the broadest genetic diversity available in Aldabras today, which is why you’ll notice so much variation in appearance across Aldabras originating from our farm.
